Audrey Azoulay, Minister of Culture and Communication, met today in Berlin, her German counterpart Monika Grütters, Minister of the German Federal Government for culture and media. This meeting was an opportunity to discuss the visit of Frankfurt Fair Book.

PM MANUEL VALLS AND AUDREY AZOULAY DISCUSSED THE FRANKFURT FAIR--------------------------------------
This meeting was an opportunity to discuss the visit of Manuel Valls, French Prime Minister and Audrey Azoulay the Frankfurt Book Fair the day before, including to announce that France would be the guest of honour of 'edition 2017. The two culture ministers welcomed this event that reaffirms the common ambitions of both countries for the book sector and more broadly for the culture. They also exchanged on the common positions of France and Germany on the European reform of copyright and the Audiovisual Media Services. For the Council of European Ministers of Culture on 22 November in Brussels, they recalled the fundamental issue of fair remuneration for authors and a better sharing of value. The two ministers finally discussed strengthening the fight against the illicit trade of cultural goods internationally within the framework of a Community instrument. Source Ministry of Culture
