The Executive Office of the Representative Council of French Overseas met this Monday, September 26, 2016 at the headquarters of the association, to announce the resignation of Patrick KARAM of his presidency. The Bureau and the board of CREFOM should thus be called soon, according to the statutes.

CREFOM IS AN ASSOCIATION FIGHTING FOR EQUALITY OVERSEAS IN FRENCH ISLANDS----------------------
Patrick Karam, who founded the CREFOM January 31, 2014 and led to Parliament its fight for real equality overseas, has been nominated alongside Victorin Lurel, MP of Guadeloupe and former Minister for Overseas , honorary president of the organization CREFOM. The officers have paid tribute to the work of the first president of CREFOM and his unwavering in defending the interests of overseas and “Ultramarine citizen“. It has enabled the creation of a powerful tool for dialogue, vigilance and proposals heard by the political, economic and industrial world as civil society. A real organisation with power and influence between France towards French West Indies, and other overseas places. With the departure of Patrick Karam, the CREFOM is turning a special page in its history and that of overseas territories. It is with enthusiasm and seriousness that his friends will continue the work to write the sequel.
