French Minister of Culture Audrey Azoulay, welcomed the approval of the draft contract of objectives and means of France Télévisions for the period 2016-2020, developed jointly by the state and the public group. This project establishes the ambition to strengthen the role of France Televisions.

This project establishes the ambition to strengthen the role of France Télévisions to support the French creation in all its diversity, in a clear and balanced sustainable financial framework. The strategic project as proposed is to affirm the specific nature of public service programs of France Televisions, through:
- A large investment plan in creation, to the benefit of all antennas;
- The launch of an information supply continues, funded mainly through redeployment;
- Strengthening the regional dimension of France 3;
- The affirmation of the role of Overseas on all antennas and particularly on France Ô, which will now exclusively dedicated to them;
- A phase in innovation strategy with digital issues.
FRANCE TV IS COMMITTED TO IMPLEMTENTING THESE GUDELINES WITHIN A STRUCTLY EXPLORATION
For its part, after having mobilized more than € 28 million of additional resources in 2016, the state is committed to increasing the public funding of France Télévisions 38 million in 2017 and 63 in 2020. L State is also committed for the benefit of the whole audiovisual sector, to revise the regulations on sponsorship, a measure that would result, according to forecasts by France Télévisions, with 10 million of additional commercial revenue per year from 2017. This project will be submitted for opinion to the competent parliamentary committees and the Higher Audiovisual Council. (CSA)
