Our Consulate General in Istanbul is in constant contact with the Turkish authorities and our compatriots there.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A car bomb exploded Tuesday, June 7 in the center of Istanbul, making eleven dead, including seven policemen, and 36 wounded, according to the prefecture of the city. The attack occurred at 8 am 35, local time, rush hour, when the subway transporte a large number of passengers in the historical district of Vezneciler, near the Grand Bazaar and University Beyazit, which was closed for the day.
