At least two dead in Texas passenger bus accident

USPA News - At least two people were confirmed dead after a passenger bus rolled over in the state of Texas, local authorities said Thursday. The passenger bus was carrying over 40 people when it suffered the fatal accident on President George Bush Turnpike on Highway 161 in Irving, Texas, near the state`s Dallas area.

The bus was heading toward the state of Oklahoma, as the passengers were on a gambling trip to the casinos, when it hit a rubber attenuator, which caused it to lose control and hit the concrete barrier between lanes and ultimately flip over. Emergency teams rushed to the scene and helped the trapped and injured passengers exit the ill-fated bus. Lonny Hashell, from the Department of Public Safety, spoke with local media and confirmed the deaths of two passengers. In addition, 41 others were reported injured, including 36 who were hospitalized. Sixteen of them were reportedly in critical condition, but few details were immediately available.
