Sister of King Philip VI will continue on the dock until the end of trial

Judge refuses to expel the accusation

USPA NEWS - Finally, the sister of King Philip IV of Spain, the Infant Cristina of Bourbon, still sitting on the dock until the end of the trial that followed in the Provincial Court of Palma de Mallorca against those responsible for the Institute Noos for the alleged diversion of public money and tax offenses.
All defenses, except that of the Infant Cristina, had asked on Tuesday the expulsion of the trial the union Clean Hands, which holds the popular accusation and is the only holding the charge against the sister of the King of Spain, as a necessary cooperator in the crimes allegedly committed by her husband, former international handball player Inaki Urdangarin. The request was a result of the arrest and subsequent imprisonment of the Secretary General of Clean Hands, Miguel Bernad, accused of integrating a criminal organization dedicated to extortion and allegedly would have required the defense of the infant the payment of three million euros for withdrawing the demand.
The defense of Cristina of Bourbon not joined the request of the other defenses because, as one of the lawyers who represent, are interested in coming to the end of the process and that the sentence acquitting the infant. Finally, the sister of the King of Spain will have to wait until the end of the trial because the judge decided Thursday to wait until the end of the process to decide on the validity of the popular accusation.
Several experts consulted by the Spanish media during these days agree that the imprisonment of the Secretary General of Clean Hands does not invalidate the popular accusation exercised against infant. Another thing, they say, is that the tribunal investigating the alleged extortion plot to rule that the union is involved as an organization and decreed the suspension of its activities, in which case they could ask the expulsion from the union of the process on the Noos case. This view is shared by the attorney who exercises the Prosecution, who expressed his determination to move forward because the union has not been accused of any illegal practice.
