This country we have gone ahead the Spaniards and the Popular Party
Vice president of the Spanish Government
USPA NEWS -
The acting vice president of the Spanish Government, Soraya Saenz de Santamaria, claimed Thursday before the leaders of his party in La Rioja, the merit of the Popular Party in the economic recovery of Spain and the majority obtained in the elections on December 20, 2015.
"This country we have gone ahead the Spaniards and the Popular Party, because it did not support us any other party," said the acting vice president of the Spanish Government, near the end of his speech focused on the claim of conservative merits in recovery economic of Spain. "This is a party that works and works hard," said Soraya Saenz de Santamaria, before underlining "what we are and what we offer: commitment, responsibility and unity." In his view, the Popular Party is the only that "really responds to what Spain needs".
The No. 2 of the Government of Mariano Rajoy insisted about the majority of conservatives in legislative elections on December 20, 2015. That majority, she said, "is well above other options," adding, concerning meetings maintain the Socialist Party, Citizens and the extreme left represented in Podemos, for the formation of Government, which "may have many meetings, many stagings, but the arithmetic is what it is" and the Popular Party won 40 seats more than the socialists, 75 more than Podemos and 90 more than Citizens. Therefore, in the opinion of Soraya Saenz de Santamaria, "equidistance should not mark because the Spaniards have not, have not asked radicalization and revolutions."
"Spain needs a Government capable of maintaining political stability, boost economic recovery and defend the unity of Spain," said the acting vice president of the Spanish Government. "A Government in favor of the Spaniards and not against anyone." Sanez de Santamaria warned about the "difference between leading an investiture and lead a Government. If the conditions under which an investiture goes ahead are weak, the Government to be formed will be weak and unstable."
Against this threat, the Popular Party offers dialogue. "We believe that we can share the basics of working in the main, because at stake is the defense of Spain and the Spaniards," the No. 2 of the Spanish Government said. "I do not want the Spain of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011," she said and recalled that whit the conservative Popular Party Government, "Spain has grown to 3.2% in 2015, it has gained competitiveness and has set a new record of exports. Retail sales have risen 3.2% this year." Soraya Saenz de Santamaria asked whether socialists, centrists and far left want to end that.
"We are at a crucial time when people ask us high-mindedness," said before the regional and municipal leaders of his party in La Rioja, a region where the Popular Party governs with the support of the Socialist Party and Citizens. "We are here to build, we have done," added the acting vice president of the Spanish Government, which concluded his speech by asking the opposition "posing a little less and a little more work."
