With these arrests, the number of suspected jihadists arrested in Spain during 2015 and so far in 2016 stands at 83. The Spanish Police and Civil Guard are on alert level 4 with the terrorist threat, which in the past weeks has resulted in several statements of DAESH calling his followers to commit attacks in France, Italy, UK and Spain. The jihadist threat also aims to commit large massive attacks in those countries. Nevertheless, the Spanish Government insists that now there is no more danger than before suffering terrorist attacks.
