Chef Benoit Violier was crowned in December the best chef in the world. He was awarded the rare 3 Michelin stars, chef restaurant cuisine at the “City Hall“ in Crissier, committed probably suicide, apparently using a gun to his Swiss home, for unknown reasons, yesterday. Benoit Violier 44, was “Meilleur Ouvrier de France“ (MOF) in 2000 and elected best chef of the year 2003 for the prestigious culinary guide Gault Millau.
