PRESIDENT HOLLANDE CELEBRATES 200 YEARS OF CAISSE DES DEPOTS SINCE NAPOLEON

USPA NEWS - The Caisse de Depots, CDC, celebrated its centenary at the Grand Palais in Paris. One of the oldest banking institution in the world created in 1816 in the time of Napoleon Bonaparte, celebrates its 200 candles at a large celebration involving 6,000 employees, coming from all parts of France.

WHAT IS THE “CAISSE DES DEPOTS´ BANK?------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Caisse des Depôts et Consignations (CDC), sometimes simply called Deposit is a French public financial institution created in 1816. CDC, is under the direct control of a supervisory committee reporting to Parliament, it carries out activities of general interest on behalf of the State and local authorities as well as competitive activities. Their slogan is “ Public Faith“. The headquarters of the CDC is located at 3 Quai Anatole France, Paris.--------------------------------------------------------------- Pending the arrival of French President Hollande who will give a speech on the occasion of the bicentenary of the CDC, the animator Charlie displays by modern images on a giant screen in contrast of the baroque arches of the magnificent Grand Palais. This beautiful historical and symbolic landmark of champs Elysee, is usually home to major cultural events such as the current exhibition Picasso Mania, or the annual fashion show of Chanel, orchestrated by maestro Karl Lagerfeld. But today the Grand Palais had an appointment with the finance history of French banking, the Caisse des Depots, largest French Public banking institution.

Gaetan, intimidated by the crowd tells a delighted voice, how he savours "feel the thrill in the Joelette" thanks to the Trial leader and coach, Christian Dujardin. He also happens to be the chiefcook of the Caisse des Depots has and also trainer for "Sportez Vous', a part of the Caisse des Depots, to encourage and involve members of the employees to make trials in the forests. He accompanied Gaetan and so many other young disabled in joy and good humour to share with them the spirit of sport and give the sense of adventure and sport in kind.
