Spanish Socialists initiated an approach to the Catalan independence

The Conservative Government criticizes

USPA NEWS - The secretary general of the Socialist Party (PSOE), Pedro Sanchez, was the first Spanish political leader to contact the new president of the regional Government of Catalonia, Carles Puigdemont, after his election.
An appointment that is being analyzed by the Spanish Government lawyers, if the formula used in the oath, without reference to the King or the Spanish Constitution, was criminal or invalidate the appointment. While from Catalonia defends the validity of the formula used, the change of Government in Spain's northeastern region has been embroiled in controversy, especially after King Philip VI refused to receive the president of the regional Parliament of Catalonia, Carmen Forcadell, and asked that the appointment of Puigdemont was communicated to him in writing.
That refusal has made the Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC its acronym in Catalan) refuses to participate in the consultation process for the formation of new Government, which King Philip VI begin on Monday with all the other groups represented in Parliament. ERC believes that if the King does not want to receive the representatives of the Government and the Parliament of Catalonia, there is no reason to meet with Philip VI. From the Spanish Royal House it argues that ERC is not on the list of parliamentary groups which facilitated by the Lower House and from the Parliament clarifies that the Republican group did not respond to the call to appoint a representative to go to the Zarzuela Palace.
Amidst this scenario, the Socialist Party has initiated a rapprochement with the Catalan institutions. The secretary general of the PSOE, Pedro Sanchez, was the first political leader who called President of the regional Government of Catalonia, to whom he transferred his interest in seeking solutions to the "priority" problems with Catalonia and Spain, as fighting unemployment, the fight against inequality and the search for a regeneration of the institutions. He also informed the Catalan president of his "determination to address a federal constitutional reform that solves the Catalan crisis."
This week, the Socialists have lost two senators to the Catalan nationalists and two ERC so they can form their own parliamentary groups. This gesture, which defends the PSOE leadership as "parliamentary courtesy," has been criticized by the conservative Government of Spain and prominent regional Socialist leaders who do not understand the support that Pedro Sanchez gives those who want to break the national unity. From the conservative Popular Party, it is believed that the Socialist secretary general seeks support from the Catalans to be appointed Prime Minister.
