The Spanish Government guarantees the safety of the Catalans against jihadism

Despite the absurdity of independence

USPA NEWS - Spain has not abandoned nor excluded Catalonia of the fighting against jihadism. This was stated on Monday the Spanish Minister of Interior, Jorge Fernandez Diaz, who untied the fight against terrorism to the conflict opened by the Catalan independence process.
In an interview with Spanish public television (TVE), the Spanish Minister of Interior ensured the safety of the Catalans against jihadist terrorism despite the lack of a stable Government in Catalonia and the "absurdity" that represents the Catalan independence process. As proof that the Government of Spain has not ruled Catalonia for combating terrorism, Fernandez Diaz recalled that Catalonia is being carried out more arrests of jihadists in the rest of Spain.
The last anti-terrorist operation was conducted on Saturday, when three people, two men and a woman, were arrested in Barcelona, accused of creating a network of recruitment of jihadists to send to Syria and Iraq. The two men are originating in the Moroccan city of Tangier, have 32 and 42 years and had managed to attract a woman, 24 years old, who is known previously tried to travel to Iraq and now had bags packed for travel Afghanistan. The Spanish minister of Interior described as "various" causes of the increased presence of Islamists in Catalonia, but declined to delve into them. On the contrary, he preferred "to value the alert level is equal in all Spain" and not abandon any region in relation to the fight against jihadism.
