The Spanish Police arrested a jihadist trying to capture prisoners for DAESH
He acted from prison
The prisoner tried to capture and indoctrinate from prison inmates for DAESH intended to educate them in the ideals of the terrorist organization. He is also accused of a crime of threats, made in the name of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of this criminal group. The detainee, originally from Morocco, 42 years old, is serving a sentence for crimes in the field of gender violence and is considered a person totally radicalized. The arrested primarily directed his work attracted and recruited interns whose sentences were about to end.
The arrest took place in the framework of the operation 'Khalya', in which two other people were arrested last October 26 by sending threatening letters. These two arrests also occurred in prisons. The operation took place in the National Strategic Plan to Combat Violent Radicalisation (PEN-lcrV) containing a specific section to counter radicalization in prisons. Since 2011, Spanish Police and Civil Guard have conducted 68 police operations against Jihadist environment that have resulted in the arrest of 165 people. Only in 2015, there have been 36 operations with a total of 90 detainees, twice throughout 2014.
