Hungary: Secretary-General calls on the Government and Parliament to postpone voting on constitutional amendments. In a statement released today calls the Secretary General of the Government and Parliament in Hungary to postpone the scheduled for Monday vote on constitutional amendments proposed.
So they can be examined by the Venice Commission.
"I have concerns about whether the constitutional amendments with the principles enshrined in the Council of Europe Statute rule of law are compatible. The Hungarian government will apply the transitional provisions that have been repealed by the Constitutional Court, again.
