The 8th edition, which will be held from 13 to 18 October 2015, will be themed 'Horses: Art and Craft', and Portugal will be the guest of honour. Since it was launched eight years ago, the Salon du Cheval d'El Jadida makes it a cultural and sporting event on the global equestrian calendar.
Portugal's participation in the Salon du Cheval d'El Jadida this year is an opportunity to strengthen the existing ties between the two countries in the equine field and will allow Portugal to showcase its management experience in the industry and its equestrian tradition.

This edition activities cover various aspects :
- Socio-economic : All equine professions are represented: saddlery, farriery, Tbourida rifle production, animal nutrition, veterinary medicine laboratories, equestrian leisure activity operators...
- Cultural and scientific : The Salon du Cheval is also an opportunity to showcase the cultural, historical and scientific aspects of equestrian heritage through exhibitions of paintings, works of art and manuscripts, and also themed conferences.
- Sporting and festive : The Salon du Cheval offers professionals and the general public a rich and varied programme comprising equestrian shows, fun activities, sporting competitions and the Tbourida.
