Bryan Singer revealed, via Instagram, that he's working on a new adaptation of French writter Jules Verne's classic novel "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.", published in 1870. The book was highly acclaimed when released and still is now. it is regarded as one of premiere adventure novels and one of Jules Verne's greatest work, along with "Around the world in Eighty days" and "Journey to the center of the Earth".
Bryan Singer wrote on Instagram : “It's my 50th birthday (ouch), and I just put the finishing touches on the script for my next film. A story I've wanted to retell since childhood. I promise this will be an epic and emotional adventure for all ages! An adventure very dear to my heart."
The story "20,000 leagues under the sea" will be by Bryan Singer and Rick Sordelet and Dan Studney.

In the original version of french writer Jules Verne, the story is as follow :
During the year 1866, ships of several nations spot a mysterious sea monster, which some suggest to be a giant narwhal. The United States government assembles an expedition in New York City to find and destroy the monster. Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist and narrator of the story, who happens to be in New York at the time, receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition which he accepts. Canadian whaler and master harpoonist Ned Land and Aronnax's faithful servant Conseil are also brought aboard....
