Spanish National Police arrests woman recruiting people for the DAESH

USPA NEWS - Officers from the General Commissariat of Intelligence of the Spanish National Police Force arrested a woman in Figueres (Girona, Northeast of Spain) as part of a police operation against the recruitment, logistics support, communication and indoctrination activity networks by DAESH.

The woman arrested, aged 19, had set up a network to support the terrorist group DAESH, as well as its members and sympathisers. The arrest resulted from the study and analysis of items seized from Ayoub Moutchou, arrested on August 4 in Stuttgart (Germany), during a joint police operation between the German BKA, the General Commissariat of Intelligence of the Spanish National Police Force and the Intelligence Brigade of the Regional Police Headquarters of Catalonia.

Among other acts, the woman was engaged in sending combatants, facilitating contacts and supporting safe passage on trips to areas controlled by the terrorist group DAESH, as well as advising active members of the Jihadi terrorist group on the security measures they would need to adopt en route. She monitored and was active on social media networks, where she interacted with individuals with radical profiles in line with her ideology in order to build an extensive network of support for and collaboration with DAESH.

Also the woman arrested is well as conduct an information campaign about the ideology behind and terrorist acts carried out by DAESH. This arrest has neutralised a cell that was highly active in spreading the ideology behind the terrorist group DAESH, recruiting new Jihadi combatants and offering certain logistical support. The operation remains ongoing.
