In honour of the hundredth anniversary of Ingrid Bergman´s birth, the Toronto International Film Festival spotlights some of the legendary actress´ greatest performances in Hollywood films, including Casablanca, The Bells of St. Mary´s and three Hitchcock classics from August 30 to September 6, 2015
She was a swedish actress who starred in a variety of European & American films. She won 3 Academy Awards, 2 Emmy Awards, 4 Golden Globe Awards & the Tony Award for Best Actress. She is ranked as the Fourth greatest female star, out of 25, of American cinema of all time by the American Film Institute. She is best remembered for her roles as Ilsa Lund in Casablanca (1942), & as Alicia Huberman in Notorious (1946), an Alfred Hitchcock thriller.
