Bill Roger Youth Foundation To Help Liberian Youth

USPA NEWS - Bill Rogers Youth Foundation takes on mission to establish a youth development center in Ben Town which is 25 miles south of Monrovia, Liberia to provide hope and stability and to develop athletic and scholarship worthy young Liberians that are motivated and prepared to attend college.

The Center will offer educational opportunities to children in small communities. They will be able to discover and share their talents with the world through an environment that fosters self-sufficiency, understanding, respect, positive, social interaction, and love for their community.

The BRYF recognizes that for children to thrive, they must be provided with the basic necessities of life. Additionally, the most effective way to ensure the long term sustainability of a group is to empower them with the necessary tools to be self sufficient. As such, the BRYF, in partnership with several individuals and organizations across the United States of America and Liberia offers programs and services to help youths in Liberia.

Coming Up is the Bill Rogers Youth Foundation 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala which is scehduled to take place on Saturday 22, 2015 and all proceeds from this event will provide additional support to Ebola victims and survivor families to help them break the cycle of poverty that war and disease has brought. They will provide food, clothing, medical resources and safe shelter for needy children in Liberia. Hundreds of thousands of Liberian have died of malnutrition, waterborne disease and most recently- the Ebola outbreak. This has left the many thousands of children and relatives of these victims with no home and nowhere to turn.

The event will bring some of Liberia´s best musical stars and journalist who have volunteered their services and time to help spread the message that they cannot allow their youths to waste away or suffer. The Bill Rogers Youth Foundation was founded by Liberian Athlete, Bill Rogers. Bill is committed to providing a medium for the youth in his native home of Liberia to grow and excel.
