High Speed Train, Franco-German was inaugurated with "ICE 3" model and the Agreement's extension to 2020, between SNCF and DB, Paris, July 23 by Harlem Desir. This is a great technological success auguring a ontinuation of the high speed instituted between France and Germany to reduce time distance
IT IS A GREAT TECHNOLOGICAL SUCCESS FOR BOTH FRANCE AND GERMANY TO REDUCE TIME DISTANCE---------------------------------------------BETWEEN THE TWO NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES---------------------
The Secretary of State for European Affairs inaugurated on Thursday, July 23, at 1.pm at the "Gare de l'Est" (Eastern Station) in Paris, the maiden voyage of the ICE 3 between Frankfurt and Paris. At this event it has also been proceeded with the signing of the Agreement extending the commercial cooperation between SNCF and its German counterpart, Deutsche Bahn (DB), until 2020.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harlem Désir hosted, alongside the President of the SNCF, Guillaume Pepy, the different personalities guests who were onboard of the train: the German Minister of Transport, Alexander Dobrindt and the President of Deutsche Bahn, Rüdiger Grube. This railway is exemplary success and has already helped more than 11.5 million international passengers traveling since 2007. The renewed cooperation between SNCF and DB will notably in 2016 to link Paris and Frankfurt in 3:35 via Strasbourg. This is a new stage in the development of Franco-German deal on high speed, to continue to bring our major economic poles in territorial development, and, more broadly, the revival of growth in Europe.
