U.S. Vice President Biden;s son Beau dies of brain cancer at 46

USPA News - Former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, the son of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, died Saturday after a battle with brain cancer, the White House said. He was 46. "It is with broken hearts that Hallie, Hunter, Ashley, Jill and I announce the passing of our husband, brother and son, Beau, after he battled brain cancer with the same integrity, courage and strength he demonstrated every day of his life," Joe Biden said in a statement.

"The entire Biden family is saddened beyond words. We know that Beau`s spirit will live on in all of us—especially through his brave wife, Hallie, and two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter." Beau Biden was hospitalized at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. earlier this month, though details of his condition had not been released. "More than his professional accomplishments, Beau measured himself as a husband, father, son and brother. His absolute honor made him a role model for our family. Beau embodied my father`s saying that a parent knows success when his child turns out better than he did," Joe Biden said in the statement. "In the words of the Biden family: Beau Biden was, quite simply, the finest man any of us have ever known." Beau Biden served as Delaware`s Attorney General from January 2007 until January 2015, but suffered several health issues in recent years. He was hospitalized in August 2013 to remove a small brain lesion that had required continuing treatment. He was also hospitalized in May 2010 after suffering what doctors described as a mild stroke. Beau Biden previously considered running for the U.S. Senate seat his father held before becoming vice president, but in the end he decided against it.
