OECD FORUM 2015 WILL TAKE PLACE ON 2 AND 3 JUNE IN PARIS

Held in Paris every year to coincide with the main annual OECD Ministerial, the Forum is a key moment for discussion on the major issues on the international agenda. ҬForum 2015 will be organized around 5 themes. The principal focus will be around COP 21 to be held in November in Paris.
THE 5 THEMES TO BE DISCUSSED AT THE FORUM--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 5 themes this year are as follows, with particular focus to climate change in preamble of the preparation of COP 21.----------

4-The Transition to the Low Carbon Economy
5-Sustainable Development Goals
In 2014, the forum gathered 1,900 participants from 70 countries, including 200 speakers, among which Ministers, CEOs, trade unions, international organizations, civil society representatives and academia. THe media was actively coring the forum with 200 journalists from 25 countries.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BREAKFAST WITH SEGOLENE ROYAL AND SOME EXPERTS FOCUSING O COP 21
On Tuesday, June 2nd OECD organizes a breakfast presence of French Minister of Ecology, Segolene Royal, and many experts from the OECD and the IEA. They will be represented by Philippe Benoit, Head of Energy Efficiency and Environment, Richard Baron, coordinator for "Align policies for a low carbon economy", OECD, and Simon Buckle, Head of Climate Change Division, biodiversity and water at OECD to discuss COP21 and have preview a new report analyzing the extent to which policy measures - be they related to land use, trade or investment - hampering efforts to fight against climate change. The intervention of the Minister regarding the COP21 and how aligning policies for a low carbon economy.

Among the special guests will be present: Jason Furman, Chairman of WHite House Council of Economic Advisers, US, Helen Clark Administrator of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).--------------------------------------------------------------
Helen Clark, UNDP Administrator, and Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will also speak to mark the opening of the Forum.
The report "Align policies for a low carbon economy" produced by the OECD, IEA, the Nuclear Energy Agency and the International Transport Forum will be published in July, and explains how to resolve misalignments policies to achieve the goals of the transition to a low carbon economy and an effective agreement in the framework of COP21. A preview of the report will also be given to the Ministers Wednesday, June 3rd.
