Spanish police have arrested eight people returned from combat in Ukraine

USPA NEWS - Spanish police have arrested eight people in connection with the DANKO operation, coordinated by the General Information Office of the National Police, who recently had returned from combat in Ukraine.

This operation, which culminates several investigations of the General Information Office run by the Office of the National Court, is being developed under Proceedings of the Central Court of Instruction Number 1 of the National Court. The detainees were moved to Ukraine in 2014 and recently returned to Spain. They all joined the pro-Russian separatist groups in the side fighting for the independence of the Ukrainian regions of Lugansk and Donetsk.

This is the first police operation conducted in Europe against the activities of foreign fighters in the Ukrainian conflict.
