USPA NEWS - Spain lead the first Very High Readiness Force NATO. The composition of this first VJTF, which will be declared operational at the Warsaw Summit will feature a Spanish brigade troops and several battalions of allied nations, becoming the spearhead of the Alliance for next year.

The constitution of the VJTF allow NATO to react in a matter of days, against any threat to the Euro-Atlantic security, regardless of their origin. Thus, this force becomes the first firm, supportive and cohesive response of the Alliance, derived from the Plan of Action for the Preparation agreed at the summit of Wales.
