Corruption "is a cancer that can not tolerate" and everyone has to answer for their actions. Such confidence former Spanish prime minister and honorary president of the conservative Popular Party (PP), José María Aznar said on Friday.
Aznar spoke during the opening day of the National Party Convention, which must choose their candidates for the next local, regional and general elections. "Looking at you I tell you straight: I answer mine, from the first to the last“, Aznar said. Former president believes that the PP has to "affirm" his project, "defogging what we are and what we want". Spain, he said, needs "more PP" and denied that the economic and institutional crisis in Spain can be overcome without conservatives. Aznar criticized that "some give us written off" and wondered if "really sucks PP won the elections". In their opinion, if the PP want to win them to "do politics, the best policy, which convenes and articulated social majorities towards shared targets“.

The National Convention of the PP, which this weekend is held in Madrid, was opened by party general secretary, Maria Dolores Cospedal. A total of 167 international representatives from 65 different from Europe, America, Africa and Asia nationalities participating in the National Convention.
