It is celebration time at the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai which rolled out red carpet Thirteen years ago to welcome high profile guests from around the world. To mark the anniversary, the hospitality leader has launched a series of events sharing the festivities with the guests.
Mr. Ahmed Badawy, Acting General Manager of Taj Palace Hotel, Dubai, said that during such a short span of time, the five-star property has become a premier destination for families, couples, as well as corporate visitors. He was glad to mention that many of the guests have left incredible feedback thanking the hotel´s warm hospitality for making their stay an unforgettable experience. So this is time to reconnect with the guests and engage them in the celebration to thank their loyalty.
The Taj Palace Hotel Dubai is conveniently located in the heart of Deira, close to the international airport.
This is where it all began for the construction of Dubai, there are some fifty years. Strolling through the old Dubai, you will be surprised by the contrast between the Old Dubai, before the skyscrapers and artificial islands.
Besides few expatriates living on this side of the island, rather attracted by the modern mall, while nationals Arab Emiratis are installed instead of this side of the city that remained authentic and charming.
The quays are lined with traditional Arab dhows, traditional craft and a ballad is required by "Abra" (water taxi) to cross from one bank to another. We see here in Deira a glimpse of what life in Dubai 50 years ago. As for the beautiful art and craft shops reminiscent of Bedouin life of its inhabitants, before the discovery of oil. The historical heart, Shindagha, can be admired in the old residence of Sheikh Saeed, which was erected in the 19th century and houses a magnificent collection of photographs of yesteryear. Then, the Heritage Museum Dubai, inside Fahidi Fort, the visitor delves into the past of the city Luxurious hotels in Dubai parade on the promenade by the sea until Maktoum Bridge and Dubai Creek Golf Course. Meandering towards the Persian Gulf, the ballad crosses the ledge that leads to the development of offshore Palm Deira. That´s another symbolic of the Palms sacred trees of the Desert.
