Ex-boyfriend arrested in Texas triple homicide

USPA News - The ex-boyfriend of a young Texas woman has been arrested after she and two other women were found dead at a home in Fort Worth, police confirmed on Wednesday, saying the man admitted to the brutal murders just hours after expressing his `anger` over the deaths on Facebook. The bodies of the three women were discovered a little after 8 a.m. local time on Tuesday at a residence in the southern part of Fort Worth.
April Serrano, 21, was found dead on the floor of the living room with a gunshot wound to the head while two other women, her mother and aunt, were found dead elsewhere in the house. Fort Worth Police Department spokeswoman Sharron Neal said April Serrano`s ex-boyfriend, Cedric D. McGinnis, 22, was soon identified as a person of interest and voluntarily agreed to speak with detectives. "McGinnis eventually admitted his involvement in the murder of the 3 victims and advised detectives where evidence from the crime could be found," she said. Homicide detectives then secured an arrest warrant for McGinnis on a charge of capital murder, after which he was taken into custody without incident, the spokeswoman said. McGinnis remained in custody at the Fort Worth jail on Wednesday afternoon with bail set at $1.2 million. A possible motive for the triple homicide was not immediately disclosed, but the arrest came just hours after McGinnis had commented on the murders in posts on the social networking website Facebook. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram said McGinnis had posted a message earlier in which he sent love to his ex-girlfriend and her family and remarked that it was always the innocent ones "that get f* over." Investigators said April Serrano was shot in the head and found on the floor of the living room in the residence, while her mother, 48-year-old Cynthia Serrano, was found deceased in a bed located in the master bedroom with stab wounds to her upper torso. Kathy DeLeon, 35, the aunt of April Serrano, was found deceased on a couch in the living room with a gunshot wound to her head.
