International Flight Passengers Arriving In Canada

USPA NEWS - The Government of Canada is urging people against non-essential international travel and the Canadian/USA border remains closed. For those who do travel, even if they do not have visible symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, must self-isolate for a mandatary 14 day period upon arriving in Canada. Wearing a face mask has been mandatory on all flights since April 20th, but now Canadians boarding a flight must provide medical documentation if they have a medical reason to not wear one. Anyone who has been on a flight with a reported risk of exposure to the virus or is feeling unwell upon returning should contact 811 for assessment or further directions.
As originally reported by the Canadian government on August 19th, 2020, during the first week in August, there were at least 18 flights from international destinations that have arrived in Canada that have had passengers that tested positive for COVID-19 after entering Canada. These flights landed in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary.

On August 24th, the Canadian Government provided an updated list of 40 additional international flights with passengers testing positive that have landed in Canada between August 5th and August 18th.

Final Update, August 30th, 2020.
Nova Scotia Public Health is warning of possible exposure to COVID-19 on two  WestJet flights on August 24th and August 26th. Both were Westjet flight 232 which departed Calgary at 0930 and arrived in Halifax at 1715 each day. On the August 24th passengers in rows, 20-24 seats A, B, C, and D may have been at risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus. On the same flight on August 26th, passengers in rows 21-26 in seats A, B, and C may have been at risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus. Nova Scotia Public Health is advising anyone that was on either flight and seated in the above-mentioned seats is being asked to call 811 for further instruction. It should be noted that anyone entering Nova Scotia from outside of the Atlantic Bubble is required to self-isolate for 14 days and that it can take up to 14 days after the date of exposure for symptoms to appear. At this point, it is unclear if this situation is the result of persons transferring from international flights.
