USPA NEWS - The Senate economic affairs committee will hear the ministers concerned and the president of La Poste every day next week, over the COIVD-19 outbreak. The Senate Committee on Economic Affairs will hear next week three of the ministers concerned by the effects and measures taken to deal with the COVID-19 crisis: Mr. Bruno Le Maire Monday, Ms. Elisabeth Borne Tuesday, Mr. Didier Guillaume Thursday, as well as Mr. Philippe Wahl, Chairman and CEO of the La Poste group on Wednesday.
During the following week, she will also audition Mr. Julien Denormandie (Minister of Housing and Solidarity) and Mr. Cedric O. (Minister of Digital Affairs)

SOPHIE PRIMAS CHAIRS THE SENATE ECONOMIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE------------------------------------------------- For Mrs. Sophie Primas, president of the Senate economic affairs committee, “these hearings testify to the will of the senators to preserve in this period of emergency the role of watch, evaluation, control but also anticipation of the commissions parliamentarians. The commission thus intends to help the executive to limit the extent of the economic crisis for companies and their employees and to provide concrete information from the various departments. The tone is not for controversy, but for efficiency in the face of the looming recession. " THESE HEARINGS PURSUE THRE OBJECTIVES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - control the effective implementation of orders issued by the law laying down the emergency provisions to combat COVID-19, their effectiveness in all territories and their results; - raise the concerns of professionals, local elected officials and senators, gathered in their department, to ministers, thus contributing to the improvement of these emergency measures as well as to the identification of "holes in the racket"; - finally, anticipate the measures that will be necessary for a rapid and strong resumption of these activities, beyond the financial emergency plan. To carry out this work, the committee organized itself into sectoral monitoring, control and anticipation cells for the emergency plan. Each cell is managed by two to three senators, from different groups represented in the Senate, responsible for collecting feedback from the field and asking professionals in the sector about the economic consequences of the crisis and the effectiveness of the measures taken within the framework of the emergency plan and their suggestions and needs. The senators responsible for steering these sectoral cells are: - Agriculture: MM. Laurent Duplomb, Franck Montaugé and Franck Menonville; - SMEs, trade and crafts: Mr. Serge Babary, Ms. Anne Chain “‘ Larché, Mr. Fabien Gay, in relation and coordination with the delegation to businesses chaired by Ms. Élisabeth Lamure; - Industry: MM. Alain Chatillon, Martial Bourquin, Mrs. Valérie Létard; - Tourism: Mr. Michel Raison, Ms. Evelyne Renaud-Garabedian and Viviane Artigalas; - Telecoms, digital, posts: Ms. Anne-Catherine Loisier, Mr. Marc Daunis; - Housing, town planning and city politics: Ms. Dominique Estrosi Sassone and Annie Guillemot; - Energy: MM.
