The convening of the International Conference of Sports held at the University of Baghdad witnessed the participation of specialized professors in the field of sports sciences and scientific research like.
These latter seized the opportunity to announce the issuing of their book entitled “The Arab Trainer's Guide to Boxing“ which was an integrated encyclopedia of works in the field of boxing. The book includes several chapters, which are a translated version of the Trainer's Guide, published by the International Amateur Boxing Federation (AIBA).
The book explains also the modern scientific basis for training young people.
The idea of issuing a set of specialized Arab books addressed to Arab trainers, referees, administrators and players emerged from the lack of Arab sources specialized in the field of boxing. The book aims similarly to develop the technical and strategic aspects along with tests and physical preparation. The book also includes a thorough description of the international schools in boxing, namely the European school, the Cuban school and the Russian school.
