Once describing a Life of Exile, Self-Denial, Physical Rigor, and Mastery of One´s Desires, Cynicism now describes a Life of Political Quietism, Passivity, and Moral Indifference, representing not a Weakening of Ancient Philosophic Norms but rather their Inversion. I often feel that "Cynical" is a Term of Abuse hurled at People who are Judged to be Insufficiently "Positive" by Those who believe that Negativity is the Real Cause of Almost all the World's Ills. This allows Them to breezily sweep aside Sceptical Doubts without having to go to the Bother of Checking if they are Well-Grounded... Follow Two Modern Writers analysing Our Western Modern Society vis for Britt Bennett (US Writer) an Essay and for Bogdan Costin (Romanian Writer) a Realistic Fiction.
- "Je Ne Sais Pas Quoi Faire Des Gentils Blancs" ("I don't Know What To Do With Good White People") By Britt BENNETT and Published By Autrement Editions. Born and raised in Southern California, Brit Bennett graduated from Stanford University and received Several awards. Her work is featured in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Paris Review, and Jezebel.

The Book Starts as "I've been surrounded by good white people my whole life. Good white people living in my neighborhood, who returned our dog when he got loose; good white teachers in elementary school who pushed books into my hands; good white professors at Stanford, a Bay Area bastion of goodwhiteness, who recommended me M.F.A. programs where I met good white writers, liberal enough for a Portlandia sketch."

It is a Serious and Critical Essay (with 9 Chapters) on Race that draws No Obvious Conclusions. This was motivated while America was deep in the Middle of One More Palpably Unbearable Season of Police Violence Against Young Black. Americans.
- "Un Plan Mortel" ("Fatal Plan") By Romanian Writer Bogdan COSTIN and Published By Autrement Editions. This is the First Novel from him being also Playwrighter and Advertiser. There was a Revival in Romanian literary Life in the Mid-1950s and 1960s, which saw the Proliferation of the Work of such Significant Prose Writers as Marin Preda. In the 1960s and ´70s Romanian Prose confronted the Communist Government and addressed the Personal Freedom of its Citizenry. After the Revolution of 1989 and CeauÅŸescu´s Execution, the Metaphorical Poetry of the Politically Active Mircea Dinescu, the Postmodern Playwriting and Poetry of Matei ViÅŸniec, and Mircea Cărtărescu´s Densely Symbolic and Surreal Novels became the Most Influential Romanian Literary Works. Also at this time, the Romanian Literary and Political Essay was revived by the Likes of Adrian Marino, Andrei PleÅŸu, Gabriel Liiceanu, and Horia-Roman Patapievici.
The Story is about an Advertiser in Bucarest who understood The Cynicism invading People's Life in Contemporary Societies, mostly in the Western World. The Character believes deeply that Everything Can Be Sold Even Death. He puts a Definite End on His Morality To Get Rich quickly, his Dream being to End Up his Life in Thailand on a Beach drinking Beer thankd to all the Money he made out of his Lucrative Ideas. Whatever has to be done will be used mostly when he believes that All Ideas are Good to explore, just to find the right Collaborators. And they are Plenty at Every Levels of the Society... Everyone needs Money. Life is Hard, Needs are multiple, Greed is Everywhere... No Morality can challenge "Reality". Suicides and their Cover-Up become the Best Income for Our "Hero"...
