USPA NEWS -
Violence against women and girls is a serious violation of human rights. Sexual assault, harassment, physical and psychological violence: with such consequences, physical damage, psychological after-effects, mental and sexual injuries, until death, any society should logically protect their victims from the aggressors, prevent violence, guarantee non-compliance impunity. For decades, civil society has mobilized, the last example is the tremendous global mobilization that part of the case Harry Weinstein has, like a tidal wave, mobilized all public opinion in the world. For decades, these mobilizations have led to violence against women being a priority and passing laws. However, implementation is slow and imperfect, and public policies are far from sufficient to eradicate violence against women.

FACTS THAT REFLECT A DIFFICULTY : BEING HEARD----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a reflection of a reality: social norms reduce the victims of violence to silence while leaving predators not only free, but even accepting their complaint of defamation. In general, the voice of victims is denigrated, minimized, to dissuade them from complaining, too often the seriousness of violence and their impact is misunderstood, denied. As a result, only 14% of female victims of domestic violence file a complaint. 10% of raped women file a complaint. Only 5% of cases of sexual harassment are brought to justice.
Fight against violence against women: a social project
For a real public action, Europe Ecology - Greens calls for an emergency action plan against violence against women, which will put the answer at the height of the challenge: Prevention (bi-annual national campaigns) and compulsory training (elected representatives, health services, police and justice, educational teams, psychologists and medical staff); Accompanying and listening to victims improved at each stage (multiplication of emergency housing and dedicated housing, priority access to social housing, guarantee of choice for victims to stay at home and in safety); improvement of the implementation of the protection order, guarantee of the right to stay for migrant women victims of violence, places of reception of victims within the police stations to collect the complaints, to make come to a safe place the case appropriate a doctor.End of impunity (a real reflection on the limitation periods, judges and courts specializing in violence against women, a reform of judicial protocols and increased budgets for justice.) We also ask that the various interveners- The judiciary is better trained and women are less likely to repeat their testimony. Because all this requires action on the ground, a greatly increased budget is absolutely necessary, especially to allow associations, which are real locks between loneliness and complaint, to honorably accommodate and accompany the victims. After the drastic reduction of the women's rights budget and the mobilization of the structures of the sector, Europe Ecology The Greens asks the government for pledges which pass by the increase of the budgets allocated to the fight against the violence made to the women as soon as the examination of the annual budget of the state.
Europe Ecology - the Greens will be present at rallies that will take place on Saturday 25 November in all of France and calls everyone to participate.
