The escapees of the Catalan government will know their destiny on December

Next 4th of December

USPA NEWS - Former president of the regional government of Catalonia, Carles Puigdemont, and four of his councilors, face last Friday a Court session in Brussels, the Belgian capital, about the Spanish arrest warrant for the alleged crimes of rebellion, sedition, prevarication and disobedience, related to the declaration of Independence of Catalonia.
Finally, it will be on December 4 when the Belgian Justice will decide on the possible extradition to Spain of the former Catalan president, Carles Puigdemont, and his four former councilors who fled with him to Belgium. That day, the prosecutor in this case and the defenses of the five politicians must present their arguments. The prosecutor will request the extradition to Spain for the two most serious crimes: rebellion and embezzlement, while the defenses will request the withdrawal of the charges and the freedom of their sponsored.
Whatever the decisiĆ³n taken by the Court the next December 4, which seems sure is that if not resolved before the regional elections in Catalonia, provided for December 21. The Belgian judge already allowed Puigdemont and councilors grant interviews to the newspapers, radio and televisiĆ³n stations, they will also allow make election campaign from Belgium. And this is important because Puigdemont lead the list of candidates of his party, the old Junts pel Si (Together for Yes), now called Junts pel Catalonia (Together for Catalonia). This party wants Puigdemont as president of the regional government of Catalonia still in the case of not win the elections. Considers that is the best leader for the secessionist process and proof is his "strength" after what happened since the failed Catalan declaration of Independence.
But the wishes of the nationalists clash with the intentions of the Republicans and the parties of the extreme left. All of them want to achieve a comfortable majority of votes and seats, but the Republicans of ERC want to go alone to the elections and the anti-system of the CUP does not support a hypothetical presidency of Puigdemont.
