he Chairperson of the “˜Emerging Tourism Enterprises Association´, Ms. Katrina Kandjii, has been invited to participate in a visit to Germany, themed “˜Environmental Protection and Green Tourism in Germany´. The visit takes place from 30 July until 5 August 2017 and is part of the Visitors´ Programme of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Chairperson of the “˜Emerging Tourism Enterprises Association´, Ms. Katrina Kandjii, has been invited to participate in a visit to Germany, themed “˜Environmental Protection and Green Tourism in Germany´. The visit takes place from 30 July until 5 August 2017 and is part of the Visitors´ Programme of the Federal Republic of Germany.------------------------------------------
Together with specialist journalists, representatives of government agencies, trade associations and tourism experts, Ms. Kandjii will have discussions with representatives of Federal Ministries, the tourism industry and trade associations in Germany. The programme will include presentations of exemplary initiatives at federal and regional level, a visit to the Eberswalde University of Sustainable Development as well as to the Uckermark, Germany´s most exemplary region for green tourism. The group will be presented practical examples of green tourism at World Heritage sites like for example Wismar and Greifswald and in regions affected by structural change. On 6 June 2017, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Namibia Christian Schlaga presented Ms. Kandjii with her letter of invitation at the embassy.
