Two American soldiers, 10 children killed in southeastern Afghan suicide attack
USPA News -
A suicide bomber killed ten children and two American soldiers in southeastern Afghanistan, officials said Monday. The attack took place on Monday at noon in front of a school in the Chamkani district bazaar, located in the southeastern province of Paktia when a explosive-rigged motorcycle detonated.
The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said two service members were killed, although their identities were not immediately disclosed. In the statement, it said one ISAF civilian was also killed. While Afghan security officials also confirmed the deaths of the two American soldiers, Brigadier General Zalmai Oryakhel told Pajhwok Afghan News that ten students were also killed, while fifteen others were injured. No group has claimed responsibility of the attack, but such attacks are commonly blamed on Taliban forces.
