Ilgiz Fazulzyanov is one of Russia´s most eminent jewelry artists. He was born in 1968, in a small town not far from Kazan (Zelenodolsk in the Republc of Tatarstan). In 1990, after finishing art school and having graduated as a designer, he founded a workshop of stained glass and silk painting...
Ilgiz Fazulzyanov is one of Russia´s most eminent jewelry artists. He was born in 1968, in a small town not far from Kazan (Zelenodolsk in the Republc of Tatarstan). In 1990, after finishing art school and having graduated as a designer, he founded a workshop of stained glass and silk painting in Kazan. In 1992 he opened his first jewellery workshop, the main task of which focused on the revival of national traditions of the Volga Tatars. Since 2012, the company Ilgiz F. is present in Moscow, London, Geneva, Tokyo and Monaco.
The filigree Koran cover brought Ilgiz Fazulzyanov his first international recognition in form of the Grand Prix at the 1994 international competition for young jewelers from Islamic countries in Islamabad. In 1995, he discovered the art of stone enameling and mastered it on his own in a matter of just two months. Since, the stoving enamel became his favorite technique and the trademark of his art. Today, Ilgiz Fazulzyanov is one of the world´s few jewelers with virtuoso mastery of all the classical techniques of hot jeweler´s enamel.
In 2011 and 2013, Ilgiz Fazulzyanov won the highest awards of the International Jewelry Design Excellence Award in Hong Kong. In 2011, he won the prize for his 'Bullfinches' pendant, and in 2013 confirmed his title by presenting the 'Eclipse' set of earrings and ring made with black faceted pearls. Today, this set is kept in the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.
In 2014, he received the Grand Prix of the 'Russia. 21st Century' jewelry competition organized by Russia´s State Precious Metals and Gems Repository Gokhran. He presented a collection of five works, the most prominent of which, the 'Crows' pendant, is also now kept in the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

In 2015, Ilgiz azulzyanov began a collaboration with a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer BOVET, producing a collection of clock faces for the men´s and ladies´ models of Amadeo Fleurier watches. The men´s collection inspired by the Rider of the Apocalypse included 4 different timepieces, while the lady´s collection was inspired by nature and had more models.
2016 marked a special milestone in the history of this jewelry brand. Between March 31 and July 31, the exhibition hall at the Belfry Tower of the Moscow Kremlin hosted a personal exhibition of Ilgiz Fazulzyanov. As of today, this is the first such exhibition of contemporary Russian jeweler in such a prominent state-run museum.

The majority of Ilgiz Fazulzyanov´s works are kept in private collections in Russia, Italy, France, Great Britain, Japan, the United States, and other countries. The collection of contemporary jewelry art of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, which numbers over 2,000 items, holds 18 pieces and sketches by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov.
